Energy rehabilitation and photovoltaic potential

Reliant Energy Plans

First, it is determined that the rehabilitation of the building park in the city has great potential to reduce energy demand for heating in buildings. Since the gradual rehabilitation of the building park is a fact, which requires a high investment year after year assumed entirely by the citizens, it is concluded that it may be of great interest to establish a plan for the promotion of total energy rehabilitation or partial envelope of buildings. With the Reliant Energy Plans you can now have a lot of supports.

Secondly, it is concluded that the generation of energy with solar installations on roofs has great potential. The photovoltaic solar panels installed on the roofs of the buildings could supply approximately 25% of the electricity consumption demanded by the city building park with solar energy. And if, in addition to residential building roofs, industrial roofs are also considered, about 45% of the electrical consumption of the building stock could be supplied.

The possibilities of biomass have also been analyzed in this study. It is a renewable fuel that greatly reduces CO2 emissions. It has been determined that with the potentially available biomass in the region, around 58% of the city’s thermal demand could be supplied.

Reliant Energy Plans

Our challenge is to strengthen our energy plan that is realistic with the 2030 horizon, seeking the balance between different technologies, always considering social, economic and environmental criteria, concluded the delegate of Sustainable Development.

The Platform for Financing of Sustainable Energy has published the ‘II Edition of the Guide for the Financing of Sustainable Energy Project has updated the Map of Experiences and added new resources to its documentary fund. Experts has analyzed and consulted expert reference agents on those aspects that affect investments related to sustainable energy.

Second Edition of the Guide for the Financing of Sustainable Energy Project

The new edition is available for registered users in the Experiences Map section of the platform. The latest regulatory changes that influence the financing of efficient or renewable energy projects, as well as the appearance of variants in the contracting models, new public aid schemes and their integration in the way of making facilities economically viable of sustainable energy in Spain and Europe, they have tried to collect in this update of the Guide and in other new documents that have been prepared by the team, and are already available for download in the Resources and Documents section of the platform.

News in the regulatory framework

This second edition of the Guide has been adapted to the current regulatory framework, including news on Law of Public Sector Contracts, the Guide on the statistical treatment of Energy Performance Contracts, and the modality of purchase and sale contracts.

After the work done, three conclusions documents that the registered users can find in the Resource library have been published are National roadmap for policy makers, New funding model and strategies for PES, and Funding Guide and learned lessons.

Experiences Map

The Experiences Map is a tool that collects success stories, innovative financing projects and models developed in Spain and the rest of Europe. It is a resource that facilitates the rapprochement between the financial sector and the sustainable energy sector.

The constant monitoring of innovative initiatives for the promotion of Sustainable Energy Projects has resulted in an update that brings the number of experiences identified at Spanish, European and international levels to 91. The new edition is available for registered users in the Map section of Web platform experiences.
